About Us

Tom Baer was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. The son of a CPA and a teacher, Tom learned very early the value of hard work. In 1977, Tom graduated from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelors degree in Marketing Management. Tom spent the next ten years working in executive management in major Department Store Retailing. He worked for Lazarus, Bullock's, Kaufmann's, and Bloomingdale's in the capacity of all levels of management. In 1984, Tom married the love of his life, Laine. They are the proud parents of two sons. He was very active in all the boy's activities making sure not to miss any of their events. Both boys are currently attending college. Michael is at the University of Kentucky and Drew is at James Madison University. They are both business majors.

Tom has worked in the financial services business for over 22 years. His retirement presentations have been widely attended by employees and retirees of Disney, General Electric, Harrah's, National Fuel Gas, teachers, federal and state employees and many others. His sound, conservative guidance and tax-savings strategies have helped hundreds of clients increase their income, save on taxes, and protect their assets using "Safer Money Solutions". Tom is passionate about "Safer Money Solutions" and he set up his practice to be different. His ultimate objective is to educate his clients about safer money options (products) which provide a reasonable rate of return.

Liz Young-Relationship Coordinator
Liz has been with TBaer Financial, Inc. since 2005. She brings a tremendous amount of customer service experience to her job resulting from her 25 years in the banking business. Originally from Charleston, West Virginia, Liz moved to Erie after marrying Gary in 2005. She has a son, Douglas, living in the Washington, D.C. area. Her responsibilities as relationship coordinator are to meet and great all attendees at the various programs held. She is also responsible for scheduling annual reviews for all clients. Liz works diligently to insure that all quarerly statements are oganized and accurate so clients can see the results of their programs. Last but certainly not last, Liz is responsible for follow-up on all incoming transfers to make sure that new clients accounts are moving on a timely basis. She is always available to assist our clients with any and all their needs with a smile.
